So, you’ve made it through the first month of homeschool!  Congratulations – send up the balloons and bring out the cupcakes!

Whether things have gone smoothly or have been a bit rough, you’re likely finding that some adjustments need to be made. This is very normal. I’ve been home educating for a long time and still, every year during the first month or so, I find something that’s not really working.

It’s not too late to switch things up. You can change your curriculum, rearrange your daily schedule, or find a new method of teaching that is a better fit for you and your family.

It can be frustrating, perplexing and stressful to have the whole school year set and then realize that things are not falling into place. Maybe your kids won’t settle in, perhaps this all takes more time, patience and energy than you had planned on. It’s okay! There are plenty of ways to adjust and make it work.
